Walk in the woods

Well, this blog thing is turning out to be much easier than I thought it was going to be. I'm also starting to get the hang of this photography thing, too. Just back from a long walk in the woods where they are clearing away the pines to make way for native planting and grazing. The dog had a particularly good time spraying everybody with mud and, having been thoroughly hosed down, is currently bemused that she's not allowed to sit with me on the sofa. Go figure.

Episode 1... in which we start this whole blog business up

This is mainly supposed to be a means of recording and sharing our travels on narrowboat Caracol on the inland waterways in and around the heart of England. But while little bits of real life do continue to come in between the principal activity of boating, posts on other related matters might creep in from time to time.

But let's be honest, it's mainly going to be about boats. And dogs.
